Criteria and regulations
The competition employs 9 rounded Swiss System. 25 minute duration with extra 10 seconds per move
and no notation recording required. Players age criterion is based on the beginning of year, 1st
January, 2011.
*** If female youth is less than 10 persons, they will have to compete with male youth. Best Female
is the person who gains the highest score. ***
Rules and regulations are according to that of FIDE
Score: win = 1, draw = 0.5, lose = 0
The person with the highest score after 9 rounds is the winner of this competition.
If there are more than one player get equal scores, tie-break will be employed as judging
criterion.
Head-to-Head: Results of their previous opponents
Buchholz Score: Total score of their previous opponents
Sonne-Borne Berger: Total score of their forfeited players + ½ total score of the
players they drew.
Number of wins: Number of games each player win
If the result is still a tie, the judgeÂs judgment would be final.
If there is any controversy, judgeÂs judgment would also be final.
Basic Rules and Regulations
1.If a player touches a piece, the player must move that piece ( Touch-move rule )
2. Use the same hand to touch the piece and stop the clock.
3.Every communication device must be turned off; otherwise, the player will be forced to forfeit.
4.Call the referee if there is any problem, do not settle the issue among yourselves.
5.Dress politely, no flip-flops.
***Punishment is based solely upon the judges call***
Awards
1. Trophy is for the first price. Second and third place will receive an acrylic award each.
2. Top three of each criterion will be granted with the right to join Chess Campus Programme
3. Every player get a certificate.

1.Registration fee 200 THB (lunch included)
